A High Quality Super Affordable Pump-Action Shotgun, the Benelli SuperNova

About this video

Colion takes the Benelli Supernova pump-action shotgun to the range for his first hands-on experience with it. He compares it to the Benelli M4 semi-automatic he’s previously reviewed, focusing on the feel, ergonomics, and shooting experience. Colion describes the Supernova’s exceptionally smooth pump action and argues that it may be more engaging to shoot than a semi-auto, though he maintains he’d still choose a semi-automatic for self-defense purposes.

Key takeaways

• Colion finds the Benelli Supernova has one of the smoothest pump actions he’s ever experienced, making it highly enjoyable to shoot
• Colion compares the engagement of shooting a pump-action to driving a manual transmission—more hands-on and connected than semi-automatics
• According to Colion, while the pump-action is fun for recreational shooting, he would still prefer a semi-automatic shotgun for self-defense applications
