ARCHON TYPE B | FIRST MAG REVIEW

About this video

Colion reviews the Archon Type B pistol, a gun he reports receives frequent viewer requests. He describes his experience shooting it and breaks down what he considers its distinctive features, including the unconventional grip texture pattern, bow-shaped trigger, and backstop design. Colion emphasizes that the gun shoots exceptionally flat with minimal muzzle rise, which he attributes to the grip design forcing the frame into his hand.

Key takeaways

• Colion argues the Archon Type B’s multi-directional grip texture actively counteracts recoil by digging into the shooter’s hand during firing
• According to Colion, the gun exhibits extremely flat shooting characteristics with minimal muzzle flip, comparable in his view to the Salient Arms Tier One and Hudson Nine
• Colion teaches that the rear backstop design forces a higher grip closer to the bore axis, which he believes contributes to better recoil management
