First Mag: THE ADVOCATE | Colion Noir Signature Series VP9
About this video
Colion presents his custom HK VP9 collaboration pistol called ‘The Advocate,’ which he developed with Tier Defense. He describes his hands-on experience shooting the modified handgun and explains the design choices he made, including grip texturing, slide window cutouts, an aluminum trigger upgrade, and optics compatibility. Colion characterizes this as a preview before releasing a full-length detailed video about the pistol.
Key takeaways
- Colion reports that The Advocate maintains the VP9’s ergonomic grip while adding custom MLS texturing and aesthetic modifications for what he describes as improved character and feel
- According to Colion, the slide window cutouts reduce weight and make the gun slightly snappier, though he says he perceives faster slide tracking and target reacquisition
- Colion explains that he designed The Advocate as a versatile ‘do-all’ platform suitable for both concealed carry and duty use, featuring an 18-round extended magazine and red dot optic mounting
