Founder of Bloomberg Anti-Gun Group Criticizes School For Teaching Kids Gun Safety

About this video

Colion argues that gun-control advocates like Shannon Watts oppose teaching firearm safety to children in schools despite claiming to be ‘gun safety’ organizations. He breaks down what he describes as Watts’s criticism of a charter school offering Hands-On gun safety training to students as young as fourth grade, and contends this reveals that her true goal is banning guns rather than promoting safety. Colion asserts that teaching responsible gun ownership, especially in communities affected by violence, empowers independence and undermines the control he believes gun-control groups seek to maintain.

Key takeaways

• Colion claims that organizations like Moms Demand Action oppose actual gun safety education for children because it conflicts with their ultimate goal of banning firearms.
• He argues that gun violence in inner cities is driven by poverty and the ’narco economy,’ not by gun availability, and that gun-control groups leverage this violence to push their agenda.
• Colion teaches that responsible gun ownership and safety training promote independence and self-reliance, which he believes gun-control advocates want to prevent.
