GLOCK 19: THE BEST SHTF HANDGUN?

About this video

Colion argues that the Glock 19 is the ideal handgun for an urban survival or total breakdown scenario. He breaks down his reasoning around ammunition availability, magazine capacity, reliability, ease of maintenance, simplicity of operation, and widespread parts availability. Colion emphasizes that in a lawless situation where personal safety depends entirely on one’s firearm, the Glock 19’s combination of these factors makes it his top choice.

Key takeaways

• Colion believes 9mm ammunition would be the most widely available caliber in a chaotic scenario, making the Glock 19’s chambering a major advantage
• He teaches that the Glock 19’s high capacity (15-33 rounds), extreme reliability, and ability to run dirty with minimal maintenance are critical features for survival situations
• Colion highlights the simplicity of the Glock platform (no external safeties, consistent trigger pull) and the widespread availability of parts and accessories as key considerations for long-term self-reliance
