Is This The Best $400 Handgun On The Market? - Rost Martin RM1C

About this video

Colion reviews the Rossi Martin RM1C, a sub-$450 9mm striker-fired handgun that he describes as slightly smaller than a Glock 19 with a 17-round capacity. He breaks down the gun’s aesthetics, features, ergonomics, and shooting performance, arguing that it feels like a higher-priced firearm despite its budget cost. Colion highlights features like optics-ready capability, ambidextrous controls, interchangeable backstraps, and what he characterizes as a crisp trigger, concluding that it’s a solid choice that won’t leave budget-conscious buyers wanting to upgrade.

Key takeaways

• Colion argues the RM1C offers premium features (red dot mounting, rail, ambi controls, quality sights) at a budget price point under $450
• Colion recommends experimenting with the interchangeable backstraps, noting that switching to the large backstrap significantly improved ergonomics and recoil control for him
• Colion describes the trigger as having a crisp break with a solid wall and quick takeup, though he finds the trigger’s appearance less appealing than its function
• Colion notes the gun is slightly snappier than a Glock 19 due to its lighter weight and smaller size, but characterizes it as a fast, capable shooter overall
