Kimber 2K11 Comp Review: The Best Shooting Gun Kimber Has Ever Made

About this video

Colion reviews Kimber’s 2K11 Comp, a 9mm double-stack 1911-style pistol with an integrated compensator. He breaks down why he believes this gun surpasses even the 2K11 Pro as the best shooting gun Kimber has produced, analyzing features like the compensator, slide cuts, trigger reset, carbon fiber grip, and toolless takedown. Colion emphasizes how these design elements work together to create what he describes as a fast, flat-shooting, and highly controllable pistol.

Key takeaways

• Colion argues the integrated compensator keeps the muzzle down effectively without excessive noise or recoil, enabling faster follow-up shots
• According to Colion, the GT trigger’s clean break and consistent short reset allows him to shoot ‘slack out’ style, keeping his finger on the trigger between shots
• Colion notes the carbon fiber infused grip module changes how recoil is communicated to the hand, making the gun feel rigid yet forgiving
