New House Bill Allows Everyone To Carry In New York Except People From New York

About this video

Colion discusses HR38, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, which would allow concealed carry permits to function like driver’s licenses across all states. He explains how the bill has gained bipartisan support and would enable permit holders to carry nationwide, while addressing concerns about expensive and restrictive permitting processes in certain states. Colion argues these restrictions disproportionately affect minorities and low-income Americans, and encourages viewers to contact their representatives to support the legislation.

Key takeaways

• Colion explains that HR38 would create national reciprocity for concealed carry permits, making them valid across all states similar to driver’s licenses
• According to Colion, the bill has grown from around 120 supporters to 163 House members, including bipartisan support with at least one Democrat
• Colion argues that expensive and bureaucratic permitting processes in states like New York and New Jersey effectively suppress constitutional rights, particularly for minorities and low-income Americans, and traces these restrictions to historically racist policies
