NOIR | Season 1 Finale: The $6000 1911, Freestyle Course Winner & Former NFL Linebacker Edgar Jones

About this video

Colion Noir presents the finale of his athletic shooting competition series, where he and competitor Lort run a timed three-gun challenge involving rifle and handgun shots at multiple distances with sprints in between. Colion reviews the Cabot Black Diamond 1911 and features former NFL linebacker Edgar Jones discussing his shooting experience and mindset around overcoming adversity. Colion breaks down guest competitor Travis Haley’s winning performance and analyzes Haley’s explanation of how competitive shooting tests and validates tactical training principles.

Key takeaways

• Colion argues that competitive shooting serves as a critical testing ground for validating tactical skills, illustrating this through his analysis of Travis Haley’s course performance and methodology
• Colion teaches that efficiency of motion and strategic course planning—analyzing weapon transitions, breathing cycles, and movement economy—are often more important than raw speed or shooting skill in timed competition
• Colion reports that former NFL player Edgar Jones drew parallels between athletic mental toughness (visualization, positive self-talk, outworking competitors) and shooting performance under pressure
