Philly Mayor Says Only Police Should Have Guns

About this video

Colion argues that Philadelphia’s mayor revealed anti-gun politicians’ true intentions during recent comments about gun control. According to Colion, the mayor explicitly stated he wants total civilian disarmament (citing only police having guns, as in Canada) rather than “common sense” measures, and uses criminal violence to justify restricting law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment rights. Colion contends this demonstrates that gun control advocates seek control over citizens, not safety, and that Philadelphia’s violence stems from socioeconomic issues in specific neighborhoods, not lawful gun ownership.

Key takeaways

• Colion claims politicians who advocate for ‘compromise’ or ‘common sense’ gun control ultimately seek total gun bans, not reasonable middle-ground solutions
• According to Colion, the Philadelphia mayor’s candid remarks reveal that many officials blame lawful gun owners and permit holders for violence committed by criminals
• Colion teaches that gun control measures are about governmental control over citizens rather than public safety, pointing to the mayor’s desire for police-only gun possession
• Colion argues that America is not among the world’s least safe countries, asserting that gun homicides represent a tiny fraction of the population and that violence concentrates in specific socioeconomic areas
