Testing Walther PDP Pro SD Compact With Brand-New Performance Duty Trigger

About this video

Colion reviews the Walther PDP SD Pro, describing it as an upgraded version of the standard PDP with enhanced features. He breaks down the gun’s aesthetics, ergonomics, performance trigger, and shooting characteristics, arguing that the improvements justify choosing this model over the standard PDP. Colion walks through the gun’s features including the threaded barrel, magwell, enhanced grip texture, and what he characterizes as an exceptionally smooth trigger with a short reset.

Key takeaways

• Colion argues the PDP SD Pro’s enhanced ergonomics—including a pronounced grip hump, aggressive texturing, and integrated magwell—create better recoil control and leverage in the hand
• Colion teaches that the performance trigger offers smooth takeup, a definable wall, clean break, and very short reset, which he describes as among the best factory triggers available
• Colion suggests the approximately $100 price difference over the standard PDP is justified by the upgrades, and recommends upgrading the factory sights to suppressor-height sights for optimal performance
