The Best Personal Defense Weapon For Civilians? | B&T TP9

About this video

Colion argues that the BNT TP9 is one of the best civilian personal defense weapons (PDWs) available due to its exceptionally small size and lightweight design. He breaks down how the TP9’s compact form factor allows it to fit in backpacks and center consoles while offering better firepower and maneuverability than a handgun. Colion acknowledges the platform’s downsides—high price, poor trigger, and proprietary suppressor—but contends these are outweighed by its practical carry advantages for civilian defense.

Key takeaways

• Colion teaches that the TP9’s main advantage is its extremely compact size—comparable to a 12-inch iPad when folded—making it far more portable than other pistol-caliber carbines
• According to Colion, the TP9’s trigger is long, heavy, and designed for full-auto use, which he views as a significant drawback that improves somewhat with use
• Colion explains that despite the $2,000 price tag and proprietary suppressor requirement, the TP9 fills a unique niche as a PDW that can be carried daily in a backpack while offering superior firepower to handguns
