The One Firearm System That Actually Makes Sense in a Carjacking

About this video

Colion hosts the founders of Flux Defense to discuss their PDW (personal defense weapon) conversion systems for pistols, particularly the Raider platform built around the SIG P320. Colion shares his personal experience incorporating the Flux Raider into his urban carry and vehicle setups, describing how it bridges the gap between a pistol and rifle-caliber PDW. The conversation covers Flux’s design philosophy, upcoming products (including Glock conversions and 10mm variants), and their sister companies producing compact tourniquets and electronic optic zoom controls.

Key takeaways

• Colion explains that the Flux Raider gives him a compact, high-capacity system (40-60 rounds) that’s easier to conceal and deploy in vehicle or urban environments than bulkier options like the MP5K or SIG Rattler
• The Flux founders report that their design improves shooter accuracy by roughly 40% through added points of contact, while maintaining a form factor barely larger than a standard pistol
• Colion emphasizes the importance of carrying medical equipment (particularly tourniquets) alongside defensive firearms, noting that civilians statistically encounter medical emergencies more often than defensive gun uses
