About this video

Colion reviews the Benelli Nova 3, describing it as an entry-level tactical pump-action shotgun. He explains that Benelli redesigned their classic Nova by reducing the chamber size from 3.5 to 3 inches for faster cycling, and incorporating features from their M4 combat shotgun. Colion shares his impressions of the ergonomics, recoil management, trigger, balance, and ghost ring sights, positioning the Nova 3 as what he considers a versatile do-everything tactical shotgun at an accessible price point.

Key takeaways

• Colion describes the Nova 3 as featuring a shortened chamber (3" vs 3.5") that he says reduces cycling stroke by 14% for faster follow-up shots
• According to Colion, the shotgun’s ribbed fore-grip and diamond-grip stock provide secure handling for shooters with varying hand sizes and arm lengths
• Colion highlights the ghost ring sights as exceptionally effective for target acquisition, stating he doesn’t feel the need to add a red dot optic
