This Affordable Firearm Training System Simulates Real Recoil In Your Actual Pistol

About this video

Colion demonstrates and explains the Cool Fire training system, a CO2-powered recoiling barrel device that replaces a firearm’s factory barrel to enable dry-fire practice with realistic recoil and semi-automatic cycling. He shows how the system works, discusses its cost (starting around $365 for the barrel kit), and emphasizes that it allows shooters to train safely at home using their actual gun, holster, sights, and trigger without developing bad training habits.

Key takeaways

• Colion presents the Cool Fire system as a dry-fire training tool that uses CO2 to create realistic recoil and cycling without live ammunition
• According to Colion, the system installs quickly via field-stripping and costs about a penny per shot to operate, helping avoid training scars like manually racking the slide
• Colion demonstrates that the device works with the shooter’s actual firearm components (trigger, sights, holster, grips) for more realistic home training
