This Chassis Makes a Bolt-Action Feel Like an AR-15

About this video

Colion argues that while AR-15s dominate political debate about firearms, bolt-action rifles actually intimidate new gun owners more due to unfamiliarity with long-range shooting and manual operation. He demonstrates how the Ultradyne chassis system transforms traditional bolt-action rifles into modular, approachable platforms that bridge the gap between classic hunting rifles and AR-15 familiarity. Colion walks through his experience upgrading a Remington 700 with Ultradyne’s aluminum chassis, emphasizing how features like adjustability, M-LOK compatibility, and AR buffer tube integration build shooter confidence without premium pricing.

Key takeaways

• Colion observes that bolt-action rifles intimidate newcomers more than AR-15s because long-range shooting feels unfamiliar and manual bolt operation differs from semi-automatic platforms
• Colion explains that chassis systems like Ultradyne’s transform bolt-actions by adding modularity (adjustable stocks, AR compatibility, accessory rails) while maintaining lightweight precision
• Colion teaches that building shooter confidence comes from familiarity and comfort with the platform, which chassis systems provide by blending traditional bolt-action performance with AR-style ergonomics
