Tim Walz Says I’ve Become Friends With School Shooters During Vice President Debate

About this video

Colion analyzes Tim Walz’s gun-related statements from a vice presidential debate, challenging what he describes as Walz’s misleading statistics and policy positions. He argues that Walz misrepresents childhood gun death data, the scope of the Second Amendment, and the effectiveness of proposed gun control measures. Colion contends that Walz’s ‘I’m a hunter’ framing obscures an anti-Second Amendment agenda focused on restrictions rather than addressing root causes like mental health and urban violence.

Key takeaways

• Colion claims that statistics citing firearms as the leading cause of death for children are misleading because they include 18-19 year-olds involved in gang violence, inflating the numbers to support gun control narratives.
• According to Colion, the Second Amendment protects all firearms for self-defense and preventing tyranny, not just hunting weapons, and he argues that politicians who lead with hunting credentials often don’t fully support Second Amendment rights.
• Colion maintains that proposed measures like universal background checks require a national gun registry and wouldn’t prevent tragedies like Sandy Hook where guns were stolen, and he advocates for hardening schools and addressing mental health instead of restricting gun rights.
