Viral Video Claims China Is Safer Than America Because Of Guns, Here’s the Lie

About this video

Colion responds to viral comments comparing feelings of safety in China versus America, specifically addressing claims that gun availability makes America dangerous. He argues that the speaker confuses emotion with evidence, points to mass violence incidents in China using other weapons, and contends that censorship creates an illusion of safety rather than actual safety. Colion frames gun rights as protection against both criminals and potential government tyranny, emphasizing that disarmament enables control rather than security.

Key takeaways

• Colion distinguishes between feeling safe (due to censorship and controlled information) and being actually safe, arguing that China’s apparent safety stems from state control of narratives rather than absence of violence
• According to Colion, violence occurs in all countries regardless of gun laws—he cites multiple mass stabbing incidents in China to illustrate that removing guns doesn’t eliminate mass casualty events, only changes the tools used
• Colion teaches that the Second Amendment exists as protection against both immediate criminal threats and long-term government tyranny, arguing that those who’ve experienced authoritarian regimes understand this better than those who’ve only known freedom
