Well Known UK Musician & Political Commentator Zuby Discuss and Shoots Guns With Colion Noir

About this video

Colion Noir hosts UK-based musician and content creator Zuby for a shooting session in Texas, covering a range of firearms including an FN SCAR, Staccato 2011, and AR-platform rifles. Throughout the video, Colion and Zuby discuss cultural differences between the US and UK regarding gun rights, individual freedoms, and social attitudes. Colion shares his perspective on negative versus positive rights, explaining how he believes this distinction shapes vastly different gun cultures and attitudes toward government authority across countries.

Key takeaways

• Colion argues that the US concept of ’negative rights’ (rights the government cannot take away) differs fundamentally from the ‘positive rights’ framework he sees in the UK, Europe, and Commonwealth countries, which he believes treats rights as government-granted permissions
• Colion reports that Zuby estimates roughly 19 out of 20 people in the UK hold anti-gun views, which Colion attributes to cultural and legal differences rooted in history rather than shared language suggesting shared values
• Colion describes the US as a ’teenage country’ compared to older nations like the UK, suggesting this youth contributes to what he views as America’s experimental nature, dynamism, and volatility in both positive and negative ways
