KDP Print Book Review | Self-Published Book Unboxing

About this video

(Based on the video’s Arabic caption track.) Roberts launches a self-published book review and unboxing series by examining a print book from KDP Print, judging it on delivery time, shipping, and print quality. He says the book took three days from the day he ordered it to the day he received it, and he was very happy with that speed. However, he notes Amazon almost always ships single books he orders in a bubble envelope, which leaves them exposed to handling, bending, and creasing; this copy arrived undamaged, but he advises ordering a book together with another shipment so it arrives in a safer box, and warns later videos in the series will show other books that fared worse. On quality, the book is 6 x 9 inches with a matte cover and white paper. He says the paper is fairly thick with no ink showing through, the cut is precise and clean, and overall the quality is excellent and he is fully satisfied for the price paid. His one personal reservation is the matte finish itself: he does not prefer it for KDP print books because it tends to show marks from his hands, whereas he has found glossy KDP copies hold up better and do not damage as easily.
