Stop Buying These Peptides

About this video

Yurth warns patients against research-only peptides and pre-mixed peptide blends bought outside trusted medical channels. She argues that combining several peptides together can disrupt the original molecules and effectively create something different and unknown, so safety and effectiveness cannot be guaranteed. In this clip she explains her clinic’s boundary: she educates patients about those unknowns, declines to advise on dosing for products she did not prescribe and cannot verify, and works only with a small number of vetted compounding pharmacies. She recounts a patient who, she says, had a severe reaction to research-grade peptides from another provider, using it to illustrate why sourcing is a safety issue.

Key takeaways

• Pre-mixed blends are not the same as taking each peptide separately, in Yurth’s argument
• If a product cannot be verified, its safety and effectiveness cannot be assured
• Do not expect a clinician to supervise dosing for unsourced research products
• Use only vetted, prescription compounding sources, as Yurth advises
• A bad reaction anecdote is presented as a sourcing warning, not proof about all peptides
