What The Hell Wednesday
About this video
A long-form livestream in the recurring What the Hell Wednesday format, where Flanary speaks as himself rather than in character. He recounts a morning of cataract surgeries, explains how the series began after he found an impersonator account, and answers audience questions about training, manual dexterity, specialty choice, and upcoming videos and merchandise. The tone is conversational community-building rather than a scripted sketch.
Key takeaways
- Flanary describes the livestream series as originating from an impersonation incident
- He presents cataract surgery as fast-paced and his favorite part of ophthalmology
- Audience Q&A covers learning surgical skills and choosing a specialty
- The episode functions as a fan community update, not medical instruction
Episode details: published December 15, 2021 · 119.7K views · 34:45 long. Summary written by Self Growth Videos from the episode itself. Everything described is Dr. Glaucomflecken’s (Will Flanary, MD) satire and commentary on the US medical system, attributed to him as satire — his sketches are comedy, not documentation, and this is not medical advice.
