The EASIEST Thing to Sell On Etsy | What to Sell During a Recession | How to Get Sales on Etsy

About this video

She argues the easiest thing to sell on Etsy, in any category, is something that helps people make money or save money — including saving time — because buyers treat it as an investment with a return rather than a frivolous expense. That does not require going fully B2B, she says: workwear, scrubs, laptop bags, business templates, signage, realtor tools, client gifts, and done-for-you services all qualify, as do money-saving items like editable wedding invitations, budgeting tools, and durable goods. She warns that frivolous items are harder to sell when buyers have low, unstable discretionary income. For sellers who only have want-not-need products, she shows how to repackage them: candles reframed as brand-identity scent for a brick-and-mortar store, and digital wall art retargeted to house flippers, staging companies, and offices with decor budgets.

Key takeaways

• Products that make or save money or time are the easiest to sell
• Work-related purchases are framed by buyers as investments, not splurges
• Frivolous items depend heavily on the buyer’s income stability
• Repackage existing products toward a business or money-saving use
• Sell what the item could be for the buyer, not just what it is
