Dreams & Value - Inky Johnson | Serendipity Podcast - Season 2 Episode 22

About this video

Johnson hosts a conversation with his long-time friend and educator ‘Oak’ on the Serendipity podcast. Johnson recounts their serendipitous reunion at an airport that led to Oak joining him onstage at a speaking engagement in San Antonio. The two discuss the importance of being led by dreams rather than problems, Johnson’s belief that ‘haters’ are simply ’non-believers’ who cannot see one’s personal vision, and they explore concepts of peace, value, and personal growth through the lens of their respective life experiences.

Key takeaways

• Johnson argues that being driven by problems leads to depression and stagnation, while being led by dreams provides direction and resilience through setbacks
• Johnson presents his view that ‘haters’ do not exist—people who seem to oppose you are simply non-believers who cannot see the vision or assignment given to you
• Johnson and Oak discuss that value is determined internally by one’s imagination and choices, not by external circumstances or others’ perceptions
