Thank you, for watching
About this video
Jeff marks exactly one year since uploading his first-ever video on YouTube with a short thank-you clip. Rather than simply telling viewers how much he appreciates them, he shows something he has kept since starting the channel: a Google Photos album where he uploads positive comments from viewers. Whenever he has a rough day — for example working until 10:00 PM at night and then staying up until two or three in the morning working on videos — he pulls up the album and goes through the screenshots, which gives him a rush of energy. He says he reminds himself he is very lucky to have viewers who share the same nerdy productivity passions as he does and who can put up with his sarcastic and often corny dad jokes. He thanks viewers whether they found his videos that day or sometime within the past year, hopes they found some sort of value in them, and says he cannot wait to continue the journey with them. The clip is bookended by a montage of his repeated intros — ‘Hi everyone, welcome back to the channel, my name is Jeff’ and ’let’s get started’ — reflecting the channel’s focus on practical career, interview, and productivity tips.
