Jim Rohn Everyday
America's Foremost Business Philosopher
Jim Rohn (1930–2009) was America's foremost business philosopher — a self-made success story who rose from farm worker to millionaire by age 31, then spent 40 years teaching the philosophy behind his own transformation. He mentored Tony Robbins, influenced Brian Tracy, and shaped the personal development industry at its foundation. His principles on discipline, habit, the seasons of life, and the philosophy of personal growth remain the most referenced in the field today.
About Jim Rohn Everyday
Emanuel James Rohn was born in 1930 in Yakima, Washington, the son of a farmer. By his early twenties he was broke, in debt, and frustrated — the kind of frustrated that comes from knowing something is wrong with your approach but not being able to name it.
That changed when he met Earl Shoaff, a successful entrepreneur who gave Rohn a framework for his life: work harder on yourself than you do on your job. For the next five years Rohn studied that philosophy and applied it, becoming a millionaire by age 31. He then spent the next forty years teaching what he had learned.
Between 1963 and his death in 2009, Rohn delivered his philosophy of personal development to over 6,000 audiences in more than 56 countries. His seminars, recordings, and books — The Art of Exceptional Living, 7 Strategies for Wealth & Happiness, The Five Major Pieces to the Life Puzzle, Seasons of Life — became the foundational texts of the self-improvement genre.
Among the people directly mentored by or crediting Rohn as their primary influence: Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Mark Hughes, Jack Canfield, Harvey Mackay, and dozens of others who became the next generation of personal development leaders.
His core teachings — the philosophy of discipline, the compound effect of daily decisions, the seasons metaphor for personal growth, and the idea that you become the average of the five people you spend the most time with — have been quoted more often in self-improvement literature than perhaps any other single source.
Jim Rohn Everyday delivers his archive of speeches and seminars in daily, accessible format. For anyone working through the foundational principles of personal development, this is the primary source.
