About this video
McPhee hosts his ‘Booze and News’ segment, discussing California’s Thanksgiving restrictions, the sentencing of NXIVM cult leader Keith Raniere, and Philadelphia’s ban on less-lethal munitions by police. He shares his opinions on these policy decisions and their broader implications.
Key takeaways
- McPhee argues that California’s Thanksgiving restrictions limiting household gatherings, party duration, indoor access, and vocal expressions represent government overreach into personal family matters.
- McPhee contends that wealthy elites and Hollywood figures face minimal consequences for serious crimes while ordinary citizens are heavily regulated, and argues for harsher penalties for those convicted of crimes against children.
- McPhee believes Philadelphia’s ban on less-lethal munitions removes essential tools from police while criminals face minimal deterrence, and he argues this policy endangers business owners and property while criminals know they won’t face serious consequences.
