SOB Condom Holster
About this video
McPhee demonstrates and reviews the SOB Tactical ‘condom holster,’ a minimalist leather appendix carry holster he designed based on his decades of special operations experience. He explains its key features including the anti-slip tab, beaver tail sweat guard, and versatility for switching between appendix and hip carry positions.
Key takeaways
- McPhee argues the condom holster solves problems he experienced with kydex holsters, which can crack and cause discomfort during active work when worn inside the waistband
- McPhee recommends the holster’s design elements: the anti-slip tab prevents shifting, the beaver tail sweat guard protects both gun and body, and reinforced stitching around the clip provides durability
- McPhee describes the holster as versatile for multiple carry positions—appendix or hip—by adjusting the clip position, making it suitable for his various EDC firearms
