Yatao | Metamorphosis (Live)

About this video

From 2018, “Yatao” is a 6 minutes 37 seconds entry in Malte Marten’s instrumental handpan library on his Malte Marten Music channel. Nothing in the title asks for a task to be completed; it is a handpan performance offered for listening over its full running time. That makes it flexible — foreground on a quiet evening, or background while the room does something else. Its billing as “Metamorphosis (Live)” is the clearest clue to how it was presented on release. It has 34,223 views in the catalog snapshot.

Key takeaways

• With no task named in the title, the listener chooses the setting: foreground or background both fit.
• The full running time suits an unhurried listen rather than a preview.
• It pairs naturally with the channel’s longer sessions for an evening of one instrument.
• The running time is 6 minutes 37 seconds, so one play can be planned as a single block rather than a playlist of fragments.
• There are no lyrics to follow; the practice, if any, is attention itself.
