F-15's on FORCE PROTECTION at Diego Garcia!

About this video

Max reports that the US Air Force deployed approximately six F-15C Eagles to Diego Garcia in May 2025 for force protection duty. He explains that these single-seat air superiority fighters are likely there to defend high-value assets like B-52 bombers and cargo aircraft from potential threats including Iranian drones, cruise missiles, and Houthi attacks. Max speculates the jets probably came from Kadena Air Base in Okinawa and are flying defensive counterair patrols to intercept any threats targeting the remote strategic outpost.

Key takeaways

• Max states that F-15Cs deployed to Diego Garcia are serving as defensive interceptors to protect B-52 bombers and other strategic assets from Iranian drones, cruise missiles, and proxy threats
• Max speculates the jets likely came from the 18th Wing at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, and are probably maintaining around-the-clock alert status with two aircraft ready to respond at all times
• Max argues that Diego Garcia’s remoteness is no longer sufficient protection given Iran’s long-range missile and drone capabilities, making fighter aircraft presence necessary for base defense
