F 15E's Sent to the Middle East

About this video

Max discusses the U.S. deployment of F-15E Strike Eagles and A-10s to the Middle East following Hamas’s attack on Israel. He explains that the U.S. is sending these aircraft and a second carrier strike group to deter Iran and other actors from expanding the conflict, noting that American citizens are among those taken hostage. Max analyzes the military capabilities involved, draws on his personal combat experience in Afghanistan, and discusses potential scenarios including urban warfare tactics and Iran’s possible involvement in supporting Hamas.

Key takeaways

• Max states that the U.S. is deploying F-15Es and A-10s (likely 10-18 aircraft from a Global Response Force) to an undisclosed Middle East location to deter Iran from escalating the conflict beyond its alleged support of Hamas.
• Max explains that Israel possesses highly capable fighter pilots and advanced F-15 variants, and argues they will likely need to employ urban warfare tactics similar to those the U.S. used against ISIS in Iraq and Afghanistan.
• Max notes that U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has stated nothing is off the table regarding hostage recovery, though Max believes direct U.S. military intervention in Israel itself is unlikely and unnecessary given Israel’s capabilities.
