F-22 vs Chinese J-31 Fighter Pilot Reacts

About this video

Max presents a hypothetical comparison between the American F-22 Raptor and the Chinese J-35 fighter jet in a speculative air combat scenario. He analyzes the J-35’s design features, suggesting it may be a carrier-based platform derived from alleged F-35 blueprints, and discusses differences in engine reliability, stealth characteristics, and weapons capacity. Max concludes that while the J-35 would be a formidable opponent, he believes the F-22 would likely prevail in both beyond-visual-range and close-in dogfighting scenarios due to superior stealth and maneuverability.

Key takeaways

• Max argues the Chinese J-35 appears to be a carrier-based platform with twin engines, dual nose wheels, and design elements possibly derived from F-35 blueprints that China allegedly obtained in the mid-2000s.
• Max asserts the F-22 would have a significant advantage in detection range, claiming it could spot the J-35 perhaps a thousand times more easily than the J-35 could detect the F-22 due to superior stealth coatings and construction.
• Max states that in a close-range dogfight, the F-22 would likely outmaneuver the J-35 using advanced tactics, though he emphasizes that pilot error could change the outcome and that the J-35 represents a stronger adversary than the Su-75.
