IRGC Houthis Seizing This Port Is WORSE Than You Think

About this video

Max analyzes escalating tensions around global shipping chokepoints, focusing on Iran-backed Houthi forces capturing Yemen’s Mocha port and threatening the Bab al-Mandab strait. He describes how this development, combined with Iranian pressure on the Strait of Hormuz, creates a dual chokepoint crisis affecting oil markets and global shipping. Max recounts Saudi Arabia’s request for U.S. airstrikes and discusses the Trump administration’s approach of providing intelligence and surveillance support rather than direct military action.

Key takeaways

• According to Max, Iranian-backed Houthi forces have seized strategic port of Mocha and are advancing toward Perim Island in the Bab al-Mandab strait, creating pressure on a second critical shipping chokepoint beyond Hormuz
• Max reports that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called President Trump twice requesting U.S. airstrikes on Houthis, though the administration opted for ISR support instead of direct military engagement
• Max explains that chokepoints don’t need physical blockades to disrupt trade—rising insurance costs, rerouting, and missile threats alone can alter economic and military calculations while oil markets react to dual-strait pressure
