LIVE: Iran War ESCALATES As U.S. Changes Hormuz Operation

About this video

Max discusses recent developments in the Strait of Hormuz, where the U.S. has shifted to a scheduled convoy system for protecting commercial tankers rather than round-the-clock coverage. He analyzes Iran-backed Houthi attacks on a Saudi pipeline, Houthi seizure of strategic territory near Bab el-Mandeb, and the broader Iranian strategy of using proxy forces to disrupt energy flows and apply economic pressure without direct confrontation.

Key takeaways

• Max explains that the U.S. now offers military protection for tankers crossing Hormuz only during specific time windows, concentrating firepower rather than maintaining 24/7 coverage—a more sustainable approach against Iranian night attacks.
• Max reports that Iranian-backed militants attacked a major Saudi east-west oil pipeline, forcing its closure and threatening the alternate route Saudi Arabia uses to bypass Hormuz—a strategic escalation beyond typical Houthi harassment.
• Max assesses that Iran does not need to sink a carrier or defeat U.S. forces militarily; forcing the global economy to fear passage through critical chokepoints like Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb achieves Iran’s strategic objectives of economic disruption and political influence.
