The US War Plan Against China is Crazier Than You Think

About this video

Max, a former F-15E and F-16 pilot, presents a hypothetical scenario analyzing what he believes would happen if the U.S. went to war with China over Taiwan. He argues that China is building artificial islands in the South China Sea under false pretenses, while the U.S. is deploying forces and establishing bases in the Philippines to counter Chinese aggression. Max outlines a speculative day-by-day military plan involving air superiority operations, anti-drone defenses, and amphibious assaults, warning that such a conflict would be extremely dangerous and costly.

Key takeaways

• Max claims that China is militarizing artificial islands in the South China Sea, disguising military bases as commercial facilities for whale watching, while half of the world’s cargo passes through the region.
• Max argues the U.S. is deploying its largest force buildup since World War II to the region, focusing on anti-drone and missile defenses and establishing five bases in the Philippines.
• Max presents a speculative war scenario in which the U.S. would first use cyber attacks and cruise missiles to destroy Chinese HQ-9 air defense systems, then deploy F-15C, F-22, and F-15E fighters to establish air superiority over the Taiwan Strait, followed by amphibious Marine landings to defend or deter a Chinese invasion.
