U.S. Military Just Put Iran's Mullahs On Notice Over Their MASSIVE Minefield

About this video

Max breaks down the ongoing demining operation in the Strait of Hormuz following the US-Iran memorandum of understanding. He describes the complex military effort involving F-16s providing air cover, P-8 Poseidon surveillance aircraft, surface minesweepers, and autonomous underwater vehicles working to clear what he characterizes as up to thousands of Iranian mines from the strategically vital shipping channel. Max analyzes what he sees as the strategic significance of this operation and questions whether Iran will honor the agreement.

Key takeaways

• Max describes a multi-layered demining operation he says involves F-16s providing combat air patrol, P-8 Poseidons conducting surveillance, surface ships like USS Chief and USS Pioneer sweeping mines, and autonomous underwater vehicles like the Knifefish detecting mines
• According to Max, up to 1,000-3,000 Iranian mines may have been laid in the Strait of Hormuz since March, trapping 160 tankers and blocking 20% of global daily oil supply
• Max characterizes the operation as a ’trust but verify’ enforcement mechanism, with US forces prepared to respond if Iran violates the agreement by activating air defense systems or interfering with the clearance operation
