CIA Spy Reveals How Navy SEALs and Delta Force Train CIA Operatives

About this video

Ritland’s guest recounts his experience in CIA training and operations from 2003 to 2010. The guest describes the training cadre at ’the farm,’ the focus on aggressive hand-to-hand combat techniques, and his subsequent work in surveillance, counter-surveillance, and protection operations. He details tradecraft like running surveillance detection routes, establishing hunker-down sites, and blending in as a boring American to evade hostile surveillance, sharing specific operational examples from his time overseas.

Key takeaways

• The guest explains that CIA training utilized contractors (former special operations personnel and civilian experts) who trained instructors, who then trained students in skills like shooting and combatives
• According to the guest, his training emphasized aggressive striking to incapacitate and escape rather than prolonged grappling, reflecting operational needs before the prevalence of cameras
• The guest describes surveillance detection routes as appearing purposeful and boring to lull surveillance teams into disinterest, using routines and everyday activities while secretly gathering intelligence
