Delivered By Mule - The Atrocities of War with Ryan Rogers | Mike Drop Clip - Ep. 172

About this video

Ryan Rogers recounts two combat experiences from his deployment: his unit shooting a mule carrying what they mistakenly believed was a bomb after intercepting enemy communications, and discovering 14 dead women and children. These stories lead to a discussion between Rogers and Ritland about the broader atrocities of war, the impact on animals and civilians, and their shared frustration with politicians who send troops into combat without understanding the true cost.

Key takeaways

• Rogers describes how his unit killed a mule after intercepting enemy communications saying ‘hit them with the big one,’ though it was only carrying poppy stems
• Ritland and Rogers argue that war should be avoided at all costs and criticize politicians who are willing to send troops into combat without personal stakes
• Ritland argues that world peace is impossible due to human nature and how power corrupts, suggesting that if war is necessary, it should be decisive rather than prolonged proxy conflicts
