Former BUD/S Commander Breaks Down Kyle Mullen’s Death & the Steroid Cache

About this video

Ritland interviews a former Navy SEAL command officer (not named in this Arabic transcript) who recounts the events surrounding the death of a SEAL candidate named Kyle during Hell Week training. The guest describes discovering evidence of widespread performance-enhancing drug use among candidates, alleges that Navy leadership suppressed investigations linking drugs to Kyle’s death, and claims he was scapegoated when senior officials redirected blame away from drug involvement despite initial findings.

Key takeaways

• Ritland’s guest recounts that candidates were using black-market drugs (testosterone, human growth hormone, injectable sildenafil) during training, and alleges Kyle injected himself after medical clearance and later died.
• According to the guest, initial Navy investigations concluded drugs contributed to the death, but he alleges senior leadership (Secretary of the Navy, senior admirals) ordered investigations reframed to exclude drug findings and redirect blame to training staff.
• The guest claims he was sidelined during investigations, alleges evidence was ignored or suppressed (including text messages identifying a drug distribution network), and describes the experience as a politically motivated scapegoating rather than a fact-finding process.
