ISA Operator Reveals the REAL Difference Between Delta Force and DEVGRU

About this video

Ritland interviews a former ISA (Intelligence Support Activity) operative who shares his unique perspective on tier-one special operations units. The guest, having worked extensively with both SEAL Team Six (DEVGRU/Blue) and Delta Force (Green), as well as CAG, discusses organizational culture differences, his role as a signals intelligence specialist supporting both units, and his later clandestine operations work focusing on Iranian influence in Iraq following the ISIS invasion in 2014.

Key takeaways

• The guest ranks CAG as the most professional tier-one unit and DEVGRU as more toxic, citing how Green treats support personnel as valued enablers while Blue often treats them as second-class citizens or necessary evils
• According to the guest, he helped pioneer aircraft tracking methods for Qasem Soleimani in 2014, techniques that the guest believes contributed to Soleimani’s eventual 2020 killing in Baghdad
• The guest describes clandestine intelligence work as unglamorous pre-positioning—gaining access to places and developing targets years before they may be needed, with many operations never being actioned
