About this video

A Marine Raider guest recounts his experience at Army Ranger School, describing it as harder than Marine Raiders selection due to its duration and extreme discomfort (hunger, cold, fatigue), though he notes he didn’t go through a formal Raiders selection. He shares stories from his Force Reconnaissance deployments before 9/11, including working with SEAL platoons. The guest describes being in Australia when 9/11 happened, deploying to Afghanistan by November 2001, and participating in an early combat engagement near Kandahar in December 2001 where his platoon interdicted Taliban fighters on a highway, resulting in close to 100 enemy casualties.
