About this video

A MARSOC operator recounts his experiences as a Marine infantryman during the 2003 push to Baghdad. • The guest reports seeing numerous Iraqi uniforms and AKs abandoned on the ground throughout the push to Baghdad, suggesting widespread defection as Iraqi forces encountered the full might of U.S. military assets.
• The guest describes significant communication and coordination issues, including his squad being accidentally left behind during an engagement and operating in ‘pitch black boxes’ inside vehicles with no situational awareness.
