SEAL ARRESTED in Serbia — Framed as an Assassin for the President

About this video

A former Navy SEAL recounts his 18-month imprisonment in Serbia after being arrested and falsely accused of plotting to assassinate the Serbian president. He describes his arrest while working as a private contractor, the interrogations, harsh prison conditions, and his time in cells with various inmates including a state-sponsored hitman. Despite being told he would be released after three months, he was detained for over a year and a half while authorities struggled to find charges against him.

Key takeaways

• The guest was arrested in Serbia while working undercover as a private contractor, with no weapons, and was accused of planning to assassinate President Vučić solely based on his Navy SEAL background during an election year
• The guest spent 18 months in Serbian prison, where he ironically became revered by inmates and guards who all hated the president he was accused of targeting
• Despite a judge ordering his release after three months, the guest claims she received a phone call requiring him to be charged with something, leading to months of detention without formal charges
