Shawn Ryan Reveals Navy SEAL Missions & CIA Pirate Attacks | Mike Drop 30 #NavySEALs #ShawnRyanShow

About this video

Mike Ritland interviews Sean Ryan, a former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor who shares stories from his career and training business. Ryan recounts his unconventional path to the Teams—including drinking from seventh grade and failing academics—his experience in BUD/S class 241 after getting performance-rolled, and vivid Hell Week hallucinations. The conversation covers Ryan’s current work running Vigilance Elite (shooting and tactics instruction), his daily routine, and candid reflections on hazing, accountability, and societal softness.

Key takeaways

• Ryan attributes his motivation to join the SEALs partly to feeling he didn’t measure up in high school and wanting to prove himself to his father
• Ryan emphasizes the value of physical consequences and accountability in developing discipline, contrasting SEAL culture with what he sees as societal softness
• Ryan describes hallucinating during Hell Week’s ‘Around the World’ evolution, including jumping out of his boat believing he saw a tidal wave and attacking dolphins he thought were sharks
