Etsy | Adding Multiple Products To One Listing 📝

About this video

RJ Martinez opens by touring one of two Joshua Tree Airbnb houses he says he has with a business partner, near Joshua Tree National Park. He checks how guests left it after what he describes as a two-to-three-week stay, noting clean dishes, an empty refrigerator, a picture that fell, and showing the living area, bedrooms, washer/dryer, patio, jacuzzi and barbecue. He then pivots to his main topic: how to add multiple products to one Etsy listing, a question he says he got often. Using a new listing as an example, he adds variations for primary color (he prefers limiting colors, e.g. black or gray) and for style, such as unisex, women’s tee and tank tops, each broken out by size. He stresses matching the sizing chart and mock-ups to each color and product so customers understand what they are buying, ordering variations logically, and using abbreviations when character limits require it. He also shows varying prices by style/size, saying he charges more for 2XL and 3XL because customers understand larger sizes cost more. He says his Etsy store has been doing well, sometimes averaging 15 to 20 orders a day, though results vary by day.

Key takeaways

• Add multiple products to one Etsy listing through variations for color and for style, with each style broken out by size.
• Match the sizing chart and mock-ups to the specific colors and products in the listing so customers can see dimensions and how a color looks.
• Keep color choices focused rather than offering too many, and order variations logically; abbreviations may be needed when character limits cut text short.
• Use the option for prices to vary by variation to charge more for larger sizes such as 2XL and 3XL.
• He says his store sometimes averages 15 to 20 orders a day, but notes individual days can be much weaker or stronger.
