Merch By Amazon - Grandpa Got his Merch Account ( Merch Grandpa)

About this video

This is a short introduction to a case-study series on a separate Merch by Amazon account the creator says belongs to his grandpa. He is transparent that the grandpa did not get approved himself — someone let him have the account — and that it starts at the first tier with ten design slots and two uploads per day, with zero sales shown over the period he displays. His plan to escape the lower tiers quickly is to upload ten designs, give them about a week live, and if they do not sell, buy the ten designs himself to move toward the next tier. He says he will not design for this account personally; his existing designers will create one or two designs a day for it. Once the account reaches higher tiers, around one hundred to five hundred in his outline, he intends to show how he outsources the work, including finding a designer through OnlineJobs.ph, hiring for a long-term daily-design role, and keeping the process simple rather than template-heavy. The grandpa himself currently knows nothing about the platform, though the creator may teach him research later.

Key takeaways

• The case study starts from tier ten, two uploads a day, and zero sales, so progress can be tracked from scratch.
• The creator’s stated shortcut is to buy his own ten designs if they do not sell within about a week to tier up faster.
• Design work for this account is delegated to his existing designers at a pace of one or two designs a day.
• At higher tiers he plans to demonstrate outsourcing hiring, specifically through OnlineJobs.ph, for a long-term designer.
• Treat tier progression as the bottleneck to solve first before expecting meaningful scale.
