3 "Upload and Forget" Amazon KDP Keywords That Are Great for Beginners

About this video

Sean presents three obscure, adult or drug-related keywords he calls ‘set it and forget it’ because Amazon does not allow ads for them, meaning competitors cannot run ads either. The first is serial killer coloring books for adults, with 370 search results and page-one books showing BSRs he cites around 39000, 18000 and 2500. The second is would you rather books for adults, with 2000 results but mostly non-adult books on page one; he notes the adult examples around 348000 and 51000 BSR, warns that ‘would you rather’ is likely trademarked so publishers should use a variation, and shows the content is just two scenarios per page. The third is psilocybin — magic mushrooms — with 920 results and BSRs he cites around 28000, 54000 in the Kindle store and 158000 in the bookstore, suited to how-to-grow / user-manual books. Since ads are blocked, he advises strong SEO in the title, getting reviews, and promoting in Facebook groups, Reddit and Quora forums. He claims one of his own books in a similar niche has stayed on page one for almost 3 years and makes close to 1000 dollars a month passively.

Key takeaways

• Topics Amazon blocks from ads — adult themes and drugs — can be an advantage because no competitor can advertise either, so a page-one ranking can stick for years
• Serial killer coloring books for adults had only 370 results, with several page-one books well under the 300000 BSR threshold Sean uses for low-content books
• For adult would-you-rather books, avoid using the exact trademarked phrase ‘would you rather’ and use a variation instead
• Psilocybin how-to / cultivation guides are the format working in that keyword, with 920 search results cited
• Without ads, ranking depends on keyword SEO in the title, reviews, and external promotion in Facebook groups, Reddit and Quora
