Trent Shelton
Trent Shelton is a former NFL wide receiver turned motivational speaker and the founder of RehabTime. His short daily 'real talk' videos — on self-worth, toxic relationships, letting go, boundaries, and protecting your peace — have made him one of the defining daily-motivation voices on YouTube, with 868K subscribers.
trentshelton.comTrent Shelton played football at Baylor and reached the NFL as a wide receiver — in an interview in his own video library he is introduced as a former NFL player for the Indianapolis Colts, the Washington Redskins, and the Seattle Seahawks. By his own telling, repeated across his channel, he went from the NFL to rock bottom and had to rebuild his life from the ground up. That rebuild became the work: he founded RehabTime, created to strengthen body, mind, and soul, and began posting the short, direct talks that now fill this library.
The talks are deliberately unpolished. Shelton speaks straight to camera, usually on one idea, and returns to the same handful of frameworks until they stick: know your worth, because most bad rooms and bad relationships are downstream of forgetting it; protect your peace, because peace is an asset other people will spend if you let them; let go, and give yourself the closure nobody else is going to hand you; set boundaries, because — as his most-viewed video puts it — everybody ain’t your friend. Faith runs underneath all of it: God is mentioned in more of his transcripts than any other single theme, and struggle is consistently reframed as a temporary chapter whose purpose only becomes visible later.
His catalogue on YouTube stretches back to 2009, with its densest run in the 2020s, when the daily cadence took over. Alongside the talks sit spoken-word pieces, a podcast, books, courses and retreats through Rehab University, and live speaking — but the centre of gravity never moves: one honest conversation, closed the same way almost every time. It all starts with you.
