Lewis Howes is the host of School of Greatness — consistently one of the top 100 podcasts globally — a New York Times bestselling author, and former two-sport All-American athlete who walked away from a professional arena football career after a wrist injury, rebuilt himself from scratch, and built a world-class platform for conversations about what greatness actually requires.
Lewis Howes grew up in Delaware with learning disabilities and found identity, purpose, and eventually All-American recognition through sports — first in football, then in handball, where he competed at a national level. In 2008, a wrist injury ended his arena football career and left him sleeping on his sister’s couch in Columbus, Ohio, broke and without a clear path forward.
What followed became the framework for the School of Greatness. Howes rebuilt methodically — studying online business, LinkedIn, and eventually creating the platform that would become his signature. The School of Greatness podcast launched in 2013 and has since accumulated over 500 million downloads across 1,500+ episodes, featuring guests including Kobe Bryant, Usain Bolt, Brené Brown, Matthew McConaughey, Tony Robbins, and hundreds of other world-class performers from sports, business, science, and entertainment.
